I was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, and educated in both English and French. I have been a marketing practitioner all of my adult life starting with the founding of an ad agency donning my name in the early eighties. This agency grew to two bi-coastal offices in Canada and became Canada’s leading B2B agency. There was a short period with a third office in Montreal. And many affiliates reaching to NYC and London, UK. For a few years I honed skills to serve the B2C markets, adding TV and radio commercials to our fare. After 13 years and worn by the hours required by this business, I entered the loyalty marketing biz with a handful of investors, launching a points-based loyalty program. It was great fun doing something new in a hot market. I Iearned to innovate despite the corollary actuarial and accounting principles, risk and reserve respectively. In 1997, I founded a knowledge corporation, BrainFood supported by web properties and live events. These include the BrandRevival and Mindmatching brands. At all times except during my loyalty years, I have continued to serve clients big and small, on everything from developing brand meaning, values and communications initiatives. I continue to this day as a Brand Coach to CEOs and working with CMOs between speaking gigs and conferences.
